Using Joost on the go

joost-thumb Here is an excellent recommendation from Tilt Mobility for the superb Joost software. I would highly agree with this service, I personally have used if for the past year and enjoyed countless episodes of The Transformers and dodgy no budget horror films. Check it out after the break.

Blackberry Bold browser much improved

image We recently posted a review of the Blackberry Bold where Gareth shot a video of the browser performance alongside his HTC TyTn II and the performance of the Bold was very very poor. Well the good news is that the latest Bold firmware seems to have improved the performance dramatically. Mobile Computer Magazine had similar results originally but have now done a video with the new firmware and we have it after the break so you can see the improvements from the older firmware and for comparison we have our original video too.

Nokia 7110 Slide – Rumour

Havine never really seen this announced anywhere it seems like the Nokia 7110 slide is set out to cover Nokia’s getting to be old midrange phones. With features including a 1.3 MP camera, MicroSD slot, and FM radio this tri-band GSM/Edge phone is rumoured to cost around 200 euro although this does seem a massively high for a device with such low end specs.

I believe that if the price was dropped and the phone was released before Christmas it might actually do not bad but knowing Nokia there will be a lot more to come before the release of this one.

Reviews should always be honest

image We pride ourselves at Mobile Tech Addicts on reviewing devices fairly and honestly and if something is not working how it should or is a poor product we tell you how it is, likewise if the product is fantastic we are very happy to say that too. Luckily we review devices for two great online companies Clove and Superetrader who both share this same philosophy even though it may effect their device sales. Unfortunately this is not always the case where manufacturers are concerned. Mobility Today share the same honest review philosophy but because of this they seem to have been blacklisted by certain PR companies and manufacturers when it comes to receiving review devices.

A Great Giveaway

We all love freebies but there is nothing better than getting a freebie that’s actually useful. Devicewire and ourselves have teamed up to give away 5 HTC Touch Diamond branded 2gb memory card drives and 5 HTC Lanyards.

Freebies

We were considering ways in which to just give these away and decided that we would just keep it simple so all you have to do is send an email to matt with the subject "I’ll have one",  your name and address and the first 5 people to mail will be given them.

EDIT: Sorry folks, they’re all gone already!

Carphone Warehouse to get G1 exclusive?

image According to one of our readers JDBradford, the T-Mobile G1 Android handset will be exclusively available through Carphone Warehouse starting from the 28th October. Obviously this exclusivity is along with T-Mobile online and high street stores. No official confirmation from either CPW or T-Mobile as of yet though.
