Motorola RAZR delayed

razr-1_4

The chaps over at Clove have this morning posted on their blog that the first batch of Motorola RAZR’s will be delayed until next week, commencing the 7th November

This delay is quite common with brand new devices but we would have liked it if it had arrived as originally planed.

Are you holding out for the RAZR?

The eagerly awaited Nokia Lumia 800, with Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) is coming soon to Three.

The first device to result from the Nokia Microsoft partnership, this phone features an 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics for crisp high quality photos and HD video, a 3.7” curved OLED display and 16GB of onboard memory, all brought to life by the intuitive Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system.

Motorola teases us with a new video

motorola-invite

Motorola are clearly launching a new product on the October 18th. What it is though remains a mystery.

In a teaser video they have posted on YouTube they claim that the mystery device will be Faster, Thinner, Smarter and Stronger. In the States the device will be launching on the Verizon network. No news yet what will happen this side of the pond.

Will it be a phone or maybe a new tablet? Your guess is as good as mine.

HTC Rhyme Accessories – Video

Screen Shot 2011-09-23 at 15.56.30

We announced the HTC Rhyme earlier this week. You remember, the one for the ladies. You are allowed to buy it if you are a man but you may  not want to go for the Plumb coloured version?

Anyway, HTC have released a short video detailing the accessories that are available for the Rhyme. I was able to get hands on with these accessories earlier in the week and although not my cup of tea I think they will appeal to the ladies. The docking station is superb and I wish all phones had an official one as an optional extra.

The word on the street is that the HTC Rhyme will be hitting UK shores around October 8th sim free. Not long to wait if you are waiting to pick one up.

You can see the video below along with a quick description of the accessories available.

The BlackBerry Colt – RIM’s first QNX BlackBerry?

QNXCorpLogo

BGR have today posted that they have received information that RIM’s first QNX Smartphone is due for release in Q1 of 2012 and is codenamed the BlackBerry Colt.

Of course these rumors have not been confirmed by RIM and as we are well aware, timescales very often change so I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. After all, we are still to get our BlackBerry 7 devices so lets enjoy those first.

I understand that one of the delays with QNX Smartphones is the fact that RIM need to re-write BES for QNX and that clearly isn’t done yet or we more than likely would have a native email app on our PlayBooks.

Anyway, we know that QNX is coming but I wouldn’t count your chickens before they hatch.

Kodak Easyshare Max Z990 review

Kodak Easyshare Max Z990 review Kodak as we all know, have been around for a very long time, providing great affordable digital cameras to the masses, but they haven’t often ventured into the what I would call ‘Beginner photographer’ market. By this I mean the Bridge camera as this is often seen as the stop gap between a blooming photographers becoming a professional user, the obvious next step after a bridge camera is a DSLR which are A LOT more expensive than this one.

I have in for review a brand new Bridge camera from Kodak named- Kodak Easyshare Max Z990. Will this stack up against the competition or fall flat on its face due to relative inexperience in the field of bridge cameras?

Read on to find out.

Sanyo VPC-CA100 review If you cast your minds back to September 2010 you will remember that I reviewed the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 compact camcorder and you might also remember that I am not really an expert camcorder, in this area I’m just an average consumer. I do use a camcorder frequently time for family events etc. so that’s the approach I am taking for this review.

So with this review of the latest iteration from Sanyo the Xacti VPC-CA100 camcorder I am more experienced and more knowledgeable (in theory anyway)

So if you are in the market for new camcorder then please do read on to find out what I think of the latest from Sanyo.

Oh yes and I mustn’t forget to mention that if you haven’t done so already I will point you in the direction of Matt’s CA100 unboxing video on the site.

Gingerbread updates for HTC Desire, Desire HD, Desire Z and Incredible S in Q2

htc-desire-hd

Good news if you own one of the above HTC handsets. HTC have confirmed that they will all get an update to Gingerbread in quarter two of this year.

And of course you Google Nexus One owners will have your update too and that should be within the next couple of weeks.

Phew! There is nothing worse than having an Android handset that is stick on an old version of the OS so a pat on the back for HTC.
