Apple’s big March announcement was very much dominated by all things iPad but there was a short section of the presentation dedicated to a tiny little black-box product called the Apple TV. At the event we were introduced to the third-generation of the Apple TV which, from the outside, looks just like the 2nd gen predecessor.
However, there are a lot of changes inside that little box the result of which is the ability to playback full HD footage, 1080P at up to 60Hz.
The redesigned user interface also makes and appearance here and this not only makes third-party add-ons easier to use but also gives the interface a more modern feel and aligns it with what we see on iOS devices.
Here’s a quick unboxing video of this little wonder.
