We have been having a lot of problems with our current web hosting supplier Dreamhosts as we are sure you have noticed over the last few weeks the service level has dropped so low we will be changing to a different host hopefully over the weekend. We apologise for these recent problems and hope you will bare with us while we sort this out over the weekend.
We have just received the HTC Touch 3G in for review and have put together a short video look around the device and a brief demo of the TouchFlo 3D, first impressions are it is really small and very comfortable in the hand with great performance to match. No accelerometer on this one and a fixed focus camera only. Full review to follow after a few days use, any questions leave them in the comments and we will try and answer them.
Celio, makers of the REDFLY have just announced two new products, the C7 and C8N. The C7 is a smaller version of the current REDFLY, has a seven-inch screen and five-hour battery. The C8N is the same size as the current REDFLY, but has an additional media port that allows users to play video from their iPods, iPhones, Zunes, select Windows Mobile devices, as well as display images from digital cameras. Available the week of December 1, 2008, REDFLY C7 and C8N can be pre-ordered today from select Celio resellers listed at www.getredfly.com for a suggested retail price of $229 and $299 respectively.
The guys over at Pocketnow have just done a comparison test with the HTC Touch HD and SE Xperia X1 to see how each of them handles video playback using CorePlayer. The results are pretty close, but the Touch HD just edges it which was quite surprising. Added to the slightly better video quality you also have to consider the extra 0.8 inch screen size which also adds to the viewing experience. Check out Pocketnow for the full details.
We thought this was coming last week but it has finally arrived, you can now download the Google Mobile App with voice search from the app store right here. It looks great but does state that it is most suited to the North American accent and my results so far have been anything but accurate. There is a video after the break showing how it all works.
The Vodafone Blackberry Storm is now on sale but we have yet to see a great unboxing video until now. Check out this video after the break showing Blackberry’s answer to the iPhone given the full unboxing treatment. We love the way they have obviously spent a lot of time working on the script and could learn a lot after the bad comments we received for our Touch HD unboxing.
