4iPhone, 4smartphone and MobileMe Exchange solutions

image With the launch of the 3G iPhone and the firmware 2.0 update, one of the major new features will be the ability to get push email, push contacts and agenda over the air. As a Windows Mobile and iPhone user for me this is great news as I have been using Exchange 2007 with Windows Mobile for a long time now and it is a brilliant way to manage your PIM data.

HTC Touch Diamond vs. Samsung i900 Omnia

image The guys over at GSM Arena have managed to get hold of a pre-release Samsung Omnia. They have done a detailed head to head against the HTC Diamond with loads of great pictures and a fantastic write up. The Samsung i900 Omnia is still a beta version, while the HTC Touch Diamond is a retail unit. However, dozens of bugs are being reported for the Diamond recently, so it isn’t actually as stable as it should be. In fact, HTC are struggling to polish the Diamond performance, which – even though utterly impressive – is rather unfinished at its launch. Looks like HTC made haste to beat the iPhone 3G announcement.

Orange data packages get unlimited

orange unlimited browsing Orange are now offering unlimited data on some of their call plans. Previously certain Orange plans included data with a fair use limit of a pathetic 30 MB. Now at least we are seeing much larger fair use limits of 500 MB but why do the networks continue to get away with saying "unlimited" and then having such a low limit on downloads, its just crazy to me, it is either unlimited or it is not. Full details of Orange plans with 500 MB of data after the break.

The Gadgeteer’s BlueAnt Z9 headset review

btz9Over at The Gadgeteer is a good review of a nice Bluetooth combo I might consider investing in myself, BlueAnt Z9 Headset and Supertooth Handsfree Speakerphone.

Its a good looking set. Highly portable, bordering on losable. I don’t think I have yet to read a negative review of either unit. In the run up to the iPhone 3G, this my well be a nice unit to consider as an alternative to the iPhone Bluetooth headset.

Eee PC 904 and 905 coming soon

2351661094_04d2fd3d76_tThe German Eee PC News has some information on a proposed 904 and 905 model of the little laptop. Or at least the head line would suggest so. This would probably mean a 903 is somewhere in the making. Mobile Computer believe the suffix will be 904 HD and that release is imminent.

This seems to be a gadget that’s biggest curse is the monthly hardware update. The potential is huge, and the price is rapidly rising as another bell or whistle is thrown in to make it just that little bit more attractive than the current model. Check Chris’ review of the 701 XP.
