Vodafone claim more than 50,000 iPhones delivered to customers today

image Via Vodafone’s official Twitter account they claim to have delivered over 50,000 iPhones to customers today, my wife’s unfortunately is stuck with Parcel Force as they claim the weather was too bad to deliver it, going to collect it tomorrow just in case we get any more snow.

Anyway it still amazes me how popular this device is when you compare it to the recent Google Nexus One figures just out.

Terry O’Brien talks about the launch day for the iPhone on Vodafone UK from the Oxford Street store below:-

Nexus One first week sales

NexusOneFirstWeekSalesComparison

It’s the newest, hottest phone on the market and it was outsold by the MyTouch 3G 3 to 1. It’s not like the Nexus One hasn’t been in the news very much, I think every major tech publication and newspaper has mentioned the device in one capacity or another. It wasn’t released on one network per area like the iPhone or the Pre so no network can be blamed for mis-marketing.

Perhaps too many people are suffering a 24 month contract to care about what Google is outputting.

Harsh times for China SMS

3115839932_aefec1d601

Guess it’s only a matter of time before the British government clamp down, but the Chinese authorities have take big big step to stomp out illegal activates. Here is an article from Mobileburn.

Today China’s state media told the press that China will begin to ban its citizens from sending or receiving SMS texts if they are using their phones to distribute pornography or other content deemed illegal by the Chinese government.

According to AFP, China Mobile is working with the Chinese government to help police SMS texts using a "checking system."

China’s internet censorship has been well publicized, and many suspect it’s in an effort to prevent any backlash against the Communist government.

This news comes amid Google’s decision to stop censoring search results in China after hackers attempted to break into the email accounts of Chinese civil rights activists.

Voice Band for iPhone review

iPhone apps are everywhere. Do you know that Doodle Jump iPhone game was even mentioned on The Bing Bang Theory TV series? However from time to time comes an app that makes our jaw drop to the floor. And Voice Band app is such an app! It’s almost revolutionary!

So, imagine that you could create music just with your voice. No longer pressing touch screen in a rhythm. Just use your voice – the most natural and original (!) way to make music! Imagine that you could convert your voice to musical instruments!

Yes, there is an app for that and we have tried it! To listen to a song created by us, click here (MP3 file).

Nexus One with Qwerty keyboard?

nexus-two-qwerty

Apparently Reuters has reported that a Qwerty Nexus may be on the cards. Speculated as the Nexus Two, the new Google-branded Android phone is meant for business users but I’d snap one up.

I guess this might be delayed until such time as the kinks in the Nexus One are ironed out.

Those lucky Russians have a rather tasty looking version of the HTC Hero. Whilst the specs are not quite as juicy as the HTC Hero we know and love, this calorie nightmare will probably only be released on cocO2. Check after the break for some delicious pictures.
