Android tablet comparison

Pills 14

For the most part Android tablets are the cut price or budget iPad alternatives. There doesn’t seem to be the one size fits all option here. Each one has a massive draw back that will result in endless searching. Here we will devel into the Android tablets worth looking at and pluck out the Christmas king.

Over the last few weeks I have been analysing the tablets, identifying their pros and cons and am determined to come up with a result with which Android tablet is the best iPad alternative. I agree there are many editorials like this online however they only seem to feature a handful of those available and mostly those anticipated.
So lets just say its Xmas. Your loved one doesn’t want an iPad so the search is on for the alternative.  Toy R Us, TJ Hughes, Next, Asda offerings and other sub £200 tablets are being ignored as they really shouldn’t exist. Honestly, they just shouldn’t!

John’s Phone review

PRESS_PHOTO_PENThere is a massive battle between platforms at the moment, in case you were not aware. Apple are pushing for elegance, Microsoft for logic, Google for intelligence, RIM for organisation and the rest are attacking whatever is left over for a few sales. There is one target audience that the all the efforts of the above companies cannot ever hope to capture – the uninterested.

Google Nexus S arrives

screen

Carphone Warehouse have updated their site with details of what you can expect to pay for the new Nexus S. Sim unlocked the high price of £549.95 is being demanded. You can of course grab it on PAYG on Vodafone by adding £10 to that. To get it free you’ll be paying £35 a month for 600mins, 500 sms and 500 mb data on a 24 month contract. There is also a £40 option at 900mins, 500 sms, 750mb, again for 2 years.

It’s a tall order and roughly equivalent to what early adopters had to pay to get their hands on the Nexus One on it’s initial release. Delivery is roughly estimated as the end of December.
