MiFi 1

Three, the provider of the award-winning ‘Huawei E586 MiFi’, is launching a new value model MiFi that will offer wireless internet access with the same high speed HSPA+ broadband technology at a lower price point.

Offering the same great functionality as the E586, the Huawei E5331 Value MiFi allows people to connect up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices, including tablets, laptops and handheld gaming consoles, to the internet while on-the-go. Fast and secure, the pocket-sized Value MiFi is simple to use with just one button and an LED screen displaying key information including signal strength and battery life.

Mark Brewer, head of mobile broadband at Three said, “As the market leader in mobile broadband it’s great to be able to bolster our range with yet another high speed mobile Wi-Fi device. The Value MiFi offers fast browsing and a seamless streaming experience, all on Three’s award winning mobile broadband network.”

Mark Mitchinson, Executive Vice President at Huawei Device UK & Ireland, said, “Huawei continues to lead and innovate in the mobile broadband space, our relationship with Three continues to flourish, and the new Huawei E5331 Value MiFi brings the speed and benefit of WiFi on-the-go to a whole new audience.”

Key features:

  • LED screen with clear icon display
  • One button connection
  • Up to 21.1 Mbps technical standard Download (HSPA+)
  • Up to 5.76 Mbps technical standard Uplink (HSUPA)
  • 4.5 hours battery life

Unfortunately, as it stands at the moment we don’t actually know what this new lower price point will be. But as soon as we do we will of course let you know.

BlackBerry Curve 9320 Review

BlackBerry Curve 9320 Review

The BlackBerry Curve 9320 may not be the BlackBerry Smartphone that is hitting the headlines at the moment due to it being a low end, budget device but that doesn’t mean it will not be popular. In fact, here in the UK it is quite possible that the 9320 may be 2012’s best selling Smartphone?

For the last two years RIM have claimed the title of most handsets sold in Great Britain and with the youth of today all carrying a BlackBerry, the Curve 9320 is the perfect successor to the Curve 8520 and 9300 that have proved so popular.

Available sim free from only £130 and on contact from £10.50 a month the BlackBerry Curve 9320 is both affordable and should be the perfect reason to keep the 8520/9300 users on Team BlackBerry.

Running BlackBerry 7.1 the 9320 doesn’t have the highest specs but due to it having the most up to date software it runs like a dream.

If you are in the market for the cheapest, best communication device yet I suggest you read on.

Octopus Keyboard for iPhone mimics BlackBerry 10

blackberry10_thumb

We only saw the BlackBerry 10 keyboard previewed in the last couple of weeks and already it has been copied for the iPhone, if you are jailbroken.

As you will see in the following video the Octopus keyboard still looks the same as the current iPhone keyboard however it now has the addition of the same word prediction and flicking the word up to add to your messages we saw RIM preview. Clearly using Octopus will not be as easy compared to a BlackBerry 10 device due to screen size but in the meantime it looks good.

According to iMore the Octopus keyboard is due for a  May 20th release on Cydia. Between now and then I would imagine that Research in Motion’s lawyers will be working overtime to get Octopus stopped. I’m sure they wouldn’t have shown it off at the BlackBerry World 2012 keynote unless it was fully patented?

Anyway, you can catch the video below. It is pretty cool and quite funny that the iPhone is mimicking a BlackBerry.
