Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs for iPhone released

This whole Ice Age movie franchise is stuff for kids and new movie from this franchise is coming in July 2009 (with dinosaurs this time!), so movie studios decided to promote it by releasing FREE game for iPhone and iPod touch!

We have tested it and while it is a rather simple skate boarding game where you should pick objects while skateboarding, it has nice 3D feeling to it and here is how it looks like:

Ride the pre-historic half-pipe on your iPhone or iPod touch with your favorite characters from the Ice Age films. Tilt your phone back and forth, forward and backward, to build up speed and skate the whole ramp. Catch some air and try some tricks to build up points, then grab Scrat’s acorns and Sid’s dinosaur eggs to boost your speed and your score! But make sure you avoid the icy ‘road blocks’ in the half-pipe, because unless you can capture Buck’s sword to defend against them, they’ll put the freeze on your board and bring your ride to a pre-historic end! Commentary: as far as we know it is the first iPhone app from Fox Mobile Entertainment, Inc. (made for Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation) and we will probably see more. Releasing an app as a promotion of a movie is great idea, particularly if this app is a game and not just dull video trailers.
