Bluetooth 3.0 on April 21st?

bluetooth_30_logo Bluetooth 3.0 is closer to release than anticipated, but how long before we see it become the standard is still up in the air because it doesn’t look cheap. April 21st is the official launch party of Bluetooth 3.0 which promises transfer speeds of up to 480Mbps, yep you read correctly 480Mbps is definitely the promised transferred speeds and it will be very interesting to see if it works out like that in real world testing. The high speed can be achieved by enabling the 802.11 standard but only when the user is transferring large files, after that it goes back to the normal standard when large files are completed which should slow battery consumption somehow. I wonder which device will be first to incorporate Bluetooth 3.0? We have to wait and see what happens come April 21st.
