SEOUL, June 1, 2016 ― The LG Stylus 2 Plus, the latest edition of its large-format Stylus series, begins its global rollout with its launch today in Taiwan. The LG Stylus 2 Plus will make its way to customers in other key markets in Asia, South America, Europe and North America in the weeks to come.

While the design remains consistent with the original LG Stylus 2, the smartphone features significantly better performance than its original cousin. At its heart is a faster 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor, a sharper 5.7-inch Full HD IPS display and higher resolution 16MP rear camera, with a flash on both sides for clearer photos and videos in low light. Other improvements include more RAM and the choice of colors: Titan, Gold and Brown.

The Stylus 2 Plus carries over the nano-coated stylus which provides the tactile feedback of a quality fountain pen when writing on the screen. Using the stylus is made even more useful with UX features such as Quick Memo and Off Memo and Pen Keeper, which displays a warning when the stylus strays too far from the phone, or vice versa.

“The LG Stylus 2 Plus offers users a spacious screen, powerful multimedia functionality and a writing experience at a competitive price,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company. “It’s just another example of the constant refinements we’re making to our mobile products to give LG customers a wide variety of features and designs to choose from.”

EasyAcc 9000mAh Waterproof Power Bank Review

P1030010 When it comes to the Powerbank there is no shortage of options. There are many recognisable brands now and many accessory companies trying to make their mark. One such company is EasyAcc. Having used a number of their power banks in the past it is a brand that I can feel you recommend when it comes to choosing.

Most recently I have been using the EasyAcc Rugged 20000mAh powerbank as my daily backup power source and am pretty pleased with the results, even though it is pretty huge. Admittedly one of the latches that hold the door closed has broken making it a little fiddly to open the door. However, the powerbank lasts a full working week and only needs charged over the weekend.

This brings us to the EasyAcc 9000 mAh power bank. This backup battery is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. Features a compass, detachable Carabiner, a 2.1 amp output, 2 amp input and is compatible with almost everything has a USB charger. As with most of these power banks of late there is an inbuilt LED flashlight.

The build of the battery is tough and robust, having used it for a couple of weeks I’m glad to say it shows no signs of wear and tear and could totally handle a camping trip to one of the more extreme climates for where it has been designed to perform. The battery itself can handle around three or four good charges of my Nexus 6P.

Size wise for a 9000 mAh battery inside a tough enclosure this unit is perfect. Not too big to avoid being cumbersome and not too small, being easy to grip and easy to find.

P1030011

However, I will say that the compass does feel like an afterthought and doesn’t provide much use however I guess it might be a lifesaver if the situation was to present itself. Also the door on the bottom is quite difficult open which is more reassuring when you think about the waterproof properties. With gloves you will struggle to get it open and it really requires your nails to get in underneath to prize the door open. I guess that is both a pro and con.

One thing that might not actually be a big issue the power bank does suffer from not being able to charge during the rain as the door needs to be open. I’m not sure of this problem would present itself too many users however it is something to keep in mind.

This little battery will continue to be in my travel sack. It’s a great backup and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone on the market looking for something a little more robust.

EasyAcc are always keep their prices low and have even set up a Flash Deal page were you could save a few if you keep an eye on it.

The more the merrier: simplified multitasking with your monitor

U3477PQU_multitasking

Multitasking is the magic word in today’s offices. In the times of digital transformation we have to be fast, forward-looking, need to fulfil several tasks at the same time and have to have data, texts, photos and videos constantly present. This is where modern monitors come into play. They offer ideal solutions for all of those demands. In short: a modern monitor should simplify multitasking and increase productivity. Most suitable for advanced users: a widescreen and high-resolution display with a broad range of connections. But there are more ways to optimise monitor usage.

1. More space: increased productivity with UltraWide monitors
For project work and flexibility, users have to be aware of many developments at the same time. The solution: displaying several applications simultaneously. Thereby an UltraWide monitor is the first choice. With a 21:9 widescreen, the days of endless scrolling or switching between windows are gone. Several new models also come with a curved display for a more complete viewing experience. UltraWide screens – like the curved AOC C3583FQ or the AOC U3477PQU – enable the user to place almost four A4 pages alongside one another, or to get a quick overview over 16 video streams, e.g. from surveillance cameras, displayed side-by-side without distortion. Users can also use an e-mail client or messenger on one half of the desktop and their office or editing software on the other half. With sharp QHD or Full HD resolutions, they are still able to see the smallest details – even with more than one or two open windows on the same screen. Thus, integrated Multiview options like picture in picture or picture by picture are the perfect choice to save space and time.

C3583FQ-BS_front_72dpi_RGB

2. More connectivity: the monitor as a multitasking “hub”
In addition, hardware multitasking can help the user to fulfil high productivity demands, too. Connecting several peripheral devices directly with the monitor saves time and space – and users do not have to crawl underneath the table or deal with a tangle of cables. Monitors like the AOC U3277PQU and Q3277PQU offer a breadth of options including DisplayPort, HDMI (MHL supported for mirroring and charging mobile phones or tablets), DVI, VGA and a USB 3.0 hub for data transfer or charging of USB devices. The U3277PQU even boasts an advanced HDMI 2.0 connector for smooth UHD video playback with up to 60 frames per second. The benefits are clear: Users only need one monitor for all kinds of connections. They can connect the display with a camera or TV receiver, upload data from a tablet to the PC and at the same time recharge a smartphone via MHL.

U3277PQU_back_to_left

3. More of both: multi-monitor set-ups
Users who would like to bring multitasking to the next level can also combine both: e.g. a widescreen monitor with several peripheral devices or even one, two or more additional monitors. There are no limits to today’s multitasking set-ups. As a result, especially hard-core gamers can experience the ultimate gaming experience that surrounds the whole field of vision. And users who work on extremely complex tasks can build their individual set-up to have all crucial aspects of their work at a glance. On this occasion, even ergonomic options like the pivot mode can come into action to optimise the individual construction.

u3477Pqu_pivot_stadion_design

But multitasking is not just for the ambitious: Even casual users can reduce the effort of the easiest all-day work tasks by using simple multitasking options of their monitor. And they will never go back once they have tried it. Because when it comes to multitasking and increased productivity, the saying “less is sometimes more” is not necessarily true.

You mentioned that DragonFly Black has an advantage over DragonFly Red in that the former is firmware upgradeable.  In fact, both DragonFly models are upgradeable. We apologize if we somehow contributed to this misunderstanding.
