Everything Everywhere re-brands as EE – 4G LTE incoming!
Everything Everywhere today announced the launch of EE – the UK’s most advanced digital communications company.
EE will become the new name of the Everything Everywhere business and its network.EE will also be launched as a new superfast customer brand in the coming weeks. It is a brand born in the digital age, designed to serve both consumers and businesses, offering the UK’s only 4G mobile service and complemented by fixed-line fibre broadband.
The new EE brand will stand alongside Orange and T-Mobile. Together they will provide mobile services to 27 million people, now served by the UK’s biggest and best network.
We will have some speed test videos to bring you later – and they are fast!

Will Everything Everywhere announce a date for the LTE roll out tomorrow?
I’m off to a meeting tomorrow morning to hook up with some of the Everything Everywhere team. The question is what will they tell us. Chances are it will be regarding the 4G LTE roll out but with the iPhone 5 launching very soon could the network be up and running in time for the new iPhone. If so I suspect it would give iPhone sales a little boost not to mention the fact that Orange and T-Mobile will pick up a load of new customers.
So tune back in tomorrow when hopefully we will be allowed to let you know the latest news.

Lenovo ThinkVision USB monitor unboxing video

Nokia announce the Lumia 920 & Lumia 820 running Windows Phone 8
Espoo, Finland and New York, USA – Nokia today announced the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820, the first devices in Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 range.
The Nokia Lumia 920 is the flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone, including the latest advances in Nokia PureView imaging innovation. Using advanced floating lens technology, the camera in the Nokia Lumia 920 is able to take in five times more light than competing smartphones without using flash, making it possible to capture clear, bright pictures and video indoors and at night. Nokia to debut new Windows Phone 8 devices today
Nokia will be holding a press event later today where we are expected to see the first working Windows Phone 8 device from them. Thanks to recent leaks it would appear that we will get to see the Lumia 920 and 820 in a whole host of colours.
With Nokia’s partnership with Microsoft it will be interesting to see what new features they will be bringing to the platform that wont be available with other manufactures. On the Windows Phone 7.5 devices we clearly had the likes of Nokia Drive and Music, just to name a couple. Will there me more with WP8 I wonder?

Download shows to your mobile with BBC iPlayer
Today the BBC have made a new version of their BBC iPlayer App available to iPhone and iPad owners. This new version not only allows them to stream shows to their mobile but also download them to their device to watch later.
Users will be able to save any programme for up to 30 days – but once you hit play, have to finish watching it within a week.
Available on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, the feature will be coming to Android devices soon.
Last month alone there were 30 million requests for iPlayer programmes via a mobile or tablet, according to the BBC.
"With mobile downloads for BBC iPlayer, you can now load up your mobile phone or tablet with hours and hours of BBC television programmes, then watch them on the road, on the Tube, on a plane, without worrying about having an internet connection or running up a mobile data bill," said Daniel Danker, general manager of programmes and on-demand for the BBC.
We understand that ITV are considering adding a similar feature to their app but that they would be charging for it.

The HTC Desire X and Sony Xperia J were announced last week and already we’re able to give you the price and availability of these two new handsets.
