It’s not upon us yet however there is a good review of the device over at Smape. Pictures and facts galore. Is it worth reading? Very much so. There is an alarming moment when one discovers the lack of hardware 3D acceleration, horrible thoughts of Tytn II sluggishness spring to mind. the GUI looks nice and the hardware does seem to deliver the goods. Best of all it contains a comparison with the Touch Pro, even down to a table of specs. Check it out.
The guys over at crowdedbrain have managed to get a preview Nokia N96 to take a look at and they have posted a couple of videos showing the device in action. Will the N96 be a good enough upgrade to the N958 GB? At this stage they say not quite. As the DVB-H service is not available in the UK till 2009/2010, by the time this comes out the next model will be released, so the only real advantage is the 16GB of storage and the various design tweaks. Videos after the break.

Samsung Singapore just made its first ROM update for the SGH-i900 Omnia Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional smartphone available which can now be downloaded from the web. This self-service ROM update (no more service center returns) should include new functionalities like new widgets for Samsung’s custom Today screen and a brand-new Hanyu Pinyin text input method for typing in Chinese characters as well as several bug fixes. Other changes and enhancements are unknown yet because Samsung doesn’t published a detailed change-log.
