Motorola Defy Review

Motorola Defy ReviewThe Defy is another Blurred Android phone from Motorola, but this one is different. Designed to be tough as nails, the Defy conforms to IP67 standards – in other words, it’s waterproof (submersion up to one metre) and dustproof (no dust-under-the-screen issues here).

The tough phone market is perhaps one that hasn’t been addressed when it comes to cutting edge smartphones – after all, we all know someone (if not yourself) that has accidentally broken a phone, so maybe the route Motorola is taking here with the Defy is one worth exploiting.

This is one of the few heavy-duty phones out there that is aimed at the general consumer, and that robustness is also the feature that really sets it apart from an already crowded market of Android phones. But is it enough to make it a worthwhile purchase? Read the full review to find out.

HP Photosmart Premium Review

HP-prem We recently looked at a few photo printers and as we’re running up to Christmas, and I suspect that photo printers are likely to be on a few people’s Christmas list, I thought it was about time that we review a few more.

We’re are starting off this week with the HP Photosmart Premium (C309G), an all-in-one photo printer, copier scanner with the added benefit of a large colour LCD touchscreen promising that you’ll be able to edit photos without the need of a computer or wirelessly print direct from your PS3, iPhone or iPad.

So let’s unpack the printer and see how easy it is to get up and running and, most importantly, how good those photos print!

BlackBerry Wireless Headset HS-300 Review

BB HS300_Stand

RIM have produced various Bluetooth headsets over the years and all have been of great quality. Earlier on this year we reviewed the VM-605 Visor Mount which I loved and still use to this day in the car.

This new headset, the HS-300 is the more traditional in ear device and at a more attractive price than the Visor mount. Is it worth the money? You will have to read on to find out.

ARCHOS 101 internet tablet review

ARCHOS_101_it_ambianceThe Archos 101 is one of the most eagerly anticipated tablets expected this side of Christmas. As companies race to get their products to market are they simply cutting corners and churning out rubbish?

Sony Ericsson Spiro review

spiro-main The Spiro from Sony Ericsson is the Zylo Walkman phones little brother. Certainly smaller, Certainly cheaper but is there much separating these two in the mobile gene pool and is does the Spiro’s lower price tag hold it back in terms of performance and functionality?

Read on to see how the Sony Ericsson shapes up!

Nag iPhone App Review

Photo-69If your like me, then you are very forgetful and need to be reminded to do the simplest of things. Like put out the cat in 10 minutes for instance, or to pick up milk when walking home or to remember to turn out the lights downstairs before you fall asleep playing Angry Birds.

LG Optimus 7 Review

Optimus7-main The Optimus 7 is LG’s first and only new Windows Phone device currently available here in the UK. The full touch slate design doesn’t seem to be that different from the plethora of available touch phones, but it does hide a pretty punchy specification sheet – the 1GHz processor, WVGA screen and 5MP camera (albeit required by Microsoft) indicates that this is a phone that means business. However, all the WP7 handsets now and in the future will match or even better these specs, so have LG placed enough consideration in other design elements to keep up with the competition? Oxford PaperShow review

papershow pen

The Oxford PaperShow is the most unusual device I’ve ever tested. It’s a digital-analogue crossover, a bridge between papers and computer screens, a digital tablet that uses paper and a Bluetooth pen that uses ink cartridges… If your livelihood depends on presentations, you will want one. But maybe not just yet.

Huawei IDEOS Review

Huawei IDEOS Review I have here the most exciting review device I’ve done to date for tracyandmatt.co.uk; the Huawei IDEOS. This isn’t just any old ordinary release by the company that provided MiFi and pretty much every half decent mobile broadband dongle to date, it is the very first of very many mobile phones to ship with Android 2.2 Froyo! So as you can probably gather already I was ridiculously excited to have been given this review so I hope that I don’t disappoint.

If you really want to know more about this super exciting new handset then read on!

Toshiba NB250 Netbook Review

NB250-open-front As the netbook era seems to be drawing to a close Toshiba manages to squeeze out one last option for your mobile computing needs. Sandwiched between the oldie but goodie, NB200 and the king of the heap, NB305, the NB250 lurks in the background like a ninja. Is it Batman, ready for action or Karate dressed in black (that’s an obscure Batfink reference by the way?)
