HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio Review

HTC-Sensation-XL-Contract-DealsThe HTC Sensation XL is a brand new phone from the company with a new direction to it as well, it has Beats audio by Dr Dre built in with additional Beats headphones too.

This isn’t the only phone of its type as HTC have also recently released the Sensation XE into the market but I definitely think that this phone is what they would call their ‘flagship device’ now due to its quite frankly enormous 4.7 inch screen and its powerful 1.5Ghz single core processor.

Will this beast of a phone stack up against the mass of Android smartphones on the market?

Read on to find the answer.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro Review

XperiaPro-main A little while ago Matt did an unboxing video of a handset that I personally had my eye on because my partner and sister are looking for a decent phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard, so when I got the e-mail from Matt asking me to review the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro I jumped at the chance!

As you may notice this is going to be my 3rd Sony Ericsson Xperia phone to review in as many months, so I am sure that you will say to yourselves well ‘What’s the difference really?’

Well to find out the answer to that question you will have to read on to find the full review.

HTC Titan Review

HTC Titan ReviewThe Titan is one half of the newest phones released by HTC with the latest version of Windows Phone 7 but this is the most interesting device. Mainly because of the gargantuan 4.7 inch screen, a fast 1.5 GHz processor and Windows Phone 7.5. There is no doubt that it certainly impressive on paper but how does it perform in real life? Has HTC been too ambitious with the screen size? Should you choose the Titan over anything else? Read on to find out!

Motorola Pro+ Review

FrontMotorola launched the original Motorola Pro in February of this year. It wasn’t hugely successful. Specs were not great, the screen was simply HVGA and the keyboard lacked the finesse of it’s Blackberry rivals.

Perhaps it’s no surprise, then, that Motorola should come up with the successor to the Pro, the Pro+, so quickly after the release of it’s predecessor. The Pro+ has a similar form factor but a more refined design that the Pro, sleeker lines and more curves. The CPU clocks at 1Ghz and it benchmarks favourably against other handsets with the same CPU. The screen size has increased and fortunately, so has the resolution which is now up to 480×640 or portrait VGA. Let’s see how this phone compares to the other physical keyboarded phones with touchscreens out there!

Samsung Galaxy Note review

Samsung Galaxy Note reviewSamsung recently released the Samsung Galaxy S II which is arguably the best Android smartphone out at the moment (even possibly the best phone in any OS category) but they felt that having this title wasn’t enough, they wanted to own the title of biggest Android Smartphone in the world too. Introducing the Samsung Galaxy Note’s 5.3″ monster of a screen. The screen is a SuperAMOLED HD screen with 1280×800 pixels producing a PPI of 285 which is quite stunning considering the screen’s size. Behind the hood are an 8mp camera, a 1.4 Ghz Dual Core processor, the ability to record in 1080p and 1GB RAM, so this is definitely one of the leading phones in the market specifications-wise.

However, the big question is: with the 5.3″ screen giving the phone the dimensions of 146.9 x 83mm, is the Samsung Galaxy Note too big to use for daily use, is it too big to be considered a proper phone or should it be considered a tablet with an in-built phone? Well read on to find out my opinion on this quite marvellous handset.

Motorola Defy+ Review

Motorola Defy+ ReviewThe Motorola Defy returns with a with a + stuck on the end but that is not the only new thing about it as it now features Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the brand new version of Motoblur and a 1 GHz Ti OMAP processor yet it is still comes to IP67 standards: the benchmark of all phones that claim to be tough.

The “tough phone” market may be a small one but for those who need a phone that they can “accidentally” drop into a cup of tea, use in a sandstorm or survive when it falls out of your pocket along with having all of the expected traits of a smartphone, the Defy+ might be perfect.

So is this a worthy successor to the Defy? Are the improvements good enough to make you want upgrade? Or would you just wish it wasn’t water-resistant so you could break it? Read on to find out!

ZTE Skate vs Orange Monte Carlo comparison

ZTE Skate A month or so ago I did the review of the Orange Monte Carlo and I really liked the handset as for the price tag of £149 plus £10 top up on the Orange network, it is an awesome deal!

So this is just a simple comparison between that phone and it’s SIM Free counterpart, the ZTE Skate which is due to be released at the end of this month (September.) The Skate was due to have a few different bits of hardware/software etc from the Monte Carlo so I have been asked to do a comparison to see if this is true.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA ray Review

Sony Ericsson XPERIA ray Review Sony Ericsson seems to be knocking out devices at a severe rate of knots at the moment and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep track!

Here I have another of their Xperia devices and this one is named the ‘ray’ and if you have seen the recent TV Ad the company seem to be aiming this is people on the move as they focus heavily on the devices’ camera.

To find out if it really is a handset for people on the go or whether it would be hard pushed to find its own place in the heavily crowded market please read on.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ReviewWe have been waiting for what seems like years for a tablet that Samsung have promising and finally it is here, all 10.1″. The tablet has arrived amidst a barrage of controversy. Luckily, we are in the UK and have been unaffected by Apple’s attempts to murder the Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 at birth.

King of Android tablets, iPad clone, Galaxy Tab successor or expensive prettiness the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is could be a lot of things, and here we hope to work out just what exactly it is and if it’s really worth your time and money.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini Pro Review

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini Pro Last year Sony Ericsson embarked on their biggest year in the smartphone industry (in my opinion) as they released their next generation of XPERIA smartphones, there was the Arc, Neo, X10 Mini and finally the most important one regarding this review…the X10 Mini Pro.

Now does anyone really properly remember that handset? I mean let’s face it-it wasn’t brilliant, it was too small and had many software bugs and to be quite honest for a long time also it was way overpriced. Would many people over the age of 15-16 have bought this phone? I’m not so sure.

The reason I’ve mentioned the above is because Sony Ericsson are at it again releasing their 3rd generation of Xperia smartphones, and I have one of them the Xperia Mini Pro. Which is the successor to the X10 Mini Pro of last year.

So is the ‘Upgrade’ worth taking a look at? Or is it just another one of those smartphones that will disappear from the radar?

Well if you want to find out more about this intriguing handset please do read on.
