Reviews should always be honest

image We pride ourselves at Mobile Tech Addicts on reviewing devices fairly and honestly and if something is not working how it should or is a poor product we tell you how it is, likewise if the product is fantastic we are very happy to say that too. Luckily we review devices for two great online companies Clove and Superetrader who both share this same philosophy even though it may effect their device sales. Unfortunately this is not always the case where manufacturers are concerned. Mobility Today share the same honest review philosophy but because of this they seem to have been blacklisted by certain PR companies and manufacturers when it comes to receiving review devices.

Dave at Mobility Today was invited to the recent G1 launch event in New York and after attending and reporting the news was promised a review unit before the device went on sale. Now he has been told that it will be mid November when they eventually manage to ship one out to him, by then it will be old news and not what a tech blogs need for their audience. He was so disappointed having to let readers down who were looking forward to the review that he decided to produce a video explaining the problems he has faced which we share below:-

My thoughts are surely it is better for readers of tech review sites to get a full and honest picture of the devices they are about to spend a lot of money on, it would be easy to take a few photos of a device and say yeah this is the best device ever go and buy it but what is the point of that. For products to be improved and made a better experience for everyone in the future we need honest reviewing and reporting, not reviews geared around keeping the manufacturer happy so they ensure they are the first on the list for the next great device. What are your thoughts??
