Google Android event highlights – UK release in November

image Well it looks as though PC Magazine had this one spot on with this being a feature phone and not a smartphone, it has been confirmed today that the latest Google Android G1 handset will have no exchange support, no A2DP, can only read office docs like word, excel and powerpoint with no ability to create the documents. No skype support and it will sync over the air to only Google Services. No desktop client is available and you cannot tether it to your laptop as a modem.

Availability, October 22nd in the US followed by a UK release in November and everyone else will have to wait until 2009.

The G1 features WiFi and 3G radios, a 3-megapixel camera, and support for the Android Market and Amazon’s mobile MP3 store, giving owners apps and tunes on the go.

Thanks to Mobility Today for info as it happened.
