FREE British to American Slang Dictionary for iPhone – released

Americans like to drop by to UK whenever they visit Europe, because after alll it is a country where English language that they use – has been invented.

While American English and British English are not that different, there are several phrases that might be confusing for Americans.

So before going to UK, or before meeting Brits, Americans should download this free app first. In this way when an American hears something offensive from a Brit, he/she should first check this app before punching the Brit in the face:

Description from the deloper:

Would you ever guess England is so foreign that you need a dictionary just to understand what they are saying in English. Take for example, if some said to you “bung some words here ye barmy bloke and we will translate em to yank in a chivvy” what would you think? Think no more my friend, our British to American Slang Dictionary will do that for you. Search for the word you’re interested in and voila, you’ll have its English..umm…well, American translation for it! This is the perfect reference to have with you if you ever gets yourself in a bind with your English buddies or in the country itself. Really do you ever want to “find a munted wassak in the rub dub”? Of course not and neither do I. That’s why I have a copy of British to American Slang Dictionary on my iPhone! Works on both the iPhone and iTouch using OS 3 and greater Any reference to any third-party products, services, names, or other information, by trade name, trademark, manufacturer, developer, supplier or otherwise, is for convenience or comparison only, and does not constitute nor imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship thereof. All characters, names, titles, likeness, and other content used or depicted in this product (even those based on real products or real people, either living or dead) are entirely fictional. Any similarity to actual products, or persons either living or dead, is purely coincidental. Any coincidental likeness and or voices are not real. Conclusion: this is a nice app and with “free” you can’t go wrong, but we are disappointed a bit, that some of the most vulgar world of British English are missing in it. After all now Apple allows for any level of vulgarity thanks to parental controls, i.e. users have to confirm that they are adults before using this app. If the developer could fix this problem and add more words, then this app would be perfect. Business model for this FREE app is: displaying small ad banners. Anywho: if you are dropping by to UK, you should absolutely get this app!
