Everything Everywhere stores outperforming Orange and T-Mobile

Everything Everywhere stores are giving better customer service than Orange and T-Mobile shops, according to customer exit polls.

The EE stores are rated as at least 10 per cent better than the single-brand outlets say polls covering customer satisfaction, customer experience and their dealings with staff.

The figures were revealed last month at the launch of an EE concept store at Westfield London Shopping Centre. EE head of store format Alan Howard and vice president of retail Andrew Coull said the roll-out of 21 EE stores this year had increased EE brand awareness.

They claimed the survey was proof that new layouts in EE stores were effective.

“Scores are currently 10 per cent higher than the Orange and T-Mobile scores,” Coull said.

He added EE would open an additional eight stores in December. These are in addition to the stores it launched in November in Westfield (White City), Clacton and Stroud.

Coull said EE would reach its target of 31 stores by the end of March. This is behind its stated schedule to have 30 stores by the end of this year.

He would not reveal plans for new EE stores beyond next March and he said EE was still working on the strategy for the roll-out of its new stores.

Coull said EE’s single brand meant that the network could get both the Orange and T-Mobile brands into towns that previously might not have been viable.

New concept store launches in London

Everything Everywhere (EE) launched its 20th store at the White City Westfield shopping centre last week.

The former T-Mobile store has a layout offering four separate areas handling different enquiries such as advising on phone purchase, setting up a phone and accessories.

A ‘lounge zone’ enables customers to sit with store sta for conversations about products and services. The ‘Connected on the Go’ zone handles mobile data information graded according to operating system.

The ‘Connected at Home’ zone showcases services such as Orange Home Broadband, sound systems and TV streaming.

The ‘Connected While You Play’ zone is an interactive area offering demos of applications and mobile games either on devices or large screens.
