Evernote funding, Awards and Releases

image Looks like Evernote have tee’d off the New Year with a bang. A nice new update to their already tidy service adds GPS functionality, they’ve won an award for being the new kids on the block and they’ve secured monies to keep them going for a while. Have a read of their full announcement after the break.

We are winners!

Evernote won the TechCrunch Crunchie for Best Mobile Startup of 2008. This is a tremendous honour. We thank everyone that helped make our mantel a little more crowded. You all rock!

Google Notebook importer

Recently, Google announced that they were stopping development on Google Notebook. To ensure that no one is left out in the cold, we released a Google Notebook importer that makes it incredibly simple to bring content your content into Evernote. If you know a Google Notebook user, make sure to let them know. Learn more: http://s.evernote.com/googleimport

Windows Mobile: Location. Location. This update also includes improved support for Evernote Premium File Sync. Read on: http://s.evernote.com/wmupdate

Tweet tweet

As many of you know, we’re big fans of Twitter. A while back we asked you to tell us what you liked about our @Evernote tweeting and what you didn’t. The response was clear: more suggestions on how to use Evernote and fewer links to media coverage. So, for those interested in the latter, we just launched a second Twitter account focused solely on media and blogosphere coverage. Check it out: http://www.twitter.com/evernotepress
