The good people over at XDA-Developers have rooted the smallest android phones on the market, the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini and the X10 Mini Pro. Apparently it only takes a couple of clicks and a few minutes to root the X10 mini and the X10 mini Pro. Instructions for how to root are in the link below. Source
