Engadget Mobile are reporting O2 are taking action to prevent the worrying scenario of charging on the go once petrol and diesel reach an all time high and people revert to pedal power.

There is also a host of other mobile charging solutions on the way. How it will work with proprietary connection seems a looming question. After Orange's dance charge tent this might be a more viable charging solution for the changing world.

Here's hoping it won't look like the 80's statement that springs to mind...
