Metal Gear Solid is one of the best and longest standing gaming series and has a huge fan base to boot, so you would imagine that the announcement from GDC 2013 has got the community all excited.
As you will see In the title there are Im fact two separate titles for what initially seemed to be one game, but Konami have moved to quash the rumour mill by announcing that there are two separate games that make up to Metal Gear Solid 5, named Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain - this is definitely an interesting decision from Kojima productions but i imagine they will pull it off with very few hitches as Kojima himself is a perfectionist.

More news as we get it.

Kindle Fire updated |
|
|
Folks who own the newer versions of Amazon Kindle Fire products will be happy to know that some software updates have started pushing out OTA. The 2nd Generation Kindle Fire and the Kindle Fire HD 7-inch & 8.9-inch devices are all getting the updates. Here's a quote with more of the details,
Quote:
For each device, the update provides enhancements for viewing textbooks, with the 2nd generation Fire and the Fire HD 7" getting "X-Ray for Textbooks". This feature allows users to access the most important terms and concepts, with glossary definitions and links to relevant pages within books.
The update also provides enhancements for print replica textbooks across each device. Thumbnails of each page are now available at the bottom of the screen, and you can make notes and highlights in your books, as well as jump from one chapter to another.
Other improvements include "Time To Read", which calculates how much longer you have left until completing a book based on your reading speed, and each device can now read books with audio and video clips, too.
The update will be downloaded to devices automatically, but if you want to force the update to happen more quickly, you can initiate it from your Kindle and get it straight away.
These are great new features that Amazon added to their product line-up. It's great to see the company continuing to support their device by making it do new and useful things.

A bit of a blatant plug this one but if you are a new BlackBerry 10 user and visit our site daily you may prefer to do so from the tracyandmatt BlackBerry 10 app. It's free to download from BlackBerry World and contains no adverts, but what it does give you is a nicer reading experience compared to using the browser on the device.
Have many of you picked up the Z10? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Here in the UK the Samsung Galaxy S4 is now available to pre-order from a few of our carriers. Both Three and EE dropped us an email today to confirm the details and Phones 4U are also offering it too.
As things stand at the moment, if you want 4G you will be restricted to EE (as long as you have LTE coverage) but saying that I can get some pretty awesome 3G speeds from Three anyway.
Head on over to the respective websites to place your orders. I suspect this one may well be popular!

iOS 6.1.3 update misery

Just a few days ago Apple released an update for its iOS devices taking them to 6.1.3 and many users have been notified of the available update on their devices.
This recent update was intended to fix a security hole that came to light in the previous version of the OS and that could allow someone to bypass the passcode and access the iPhone app and the photos stored upon the device.
Since applying the update to their phones, many users are complaining that the battery life has been dramatically reduced and Apply has, apparently, been inundated with complaints to that effect. There have also been countless tweets also in criticism of this issue.
Furthermore it has since come to light that there is a new bug within iOS 6.1.3 which, although different to the one in previous versions, still allows someone to bypass the passcode and access the iPhone app.
For anyone wishing to Jailbreak their device the most recent update puts a stop to that also.
So, overall, the advice is not to update!!
