Archos HOME Phone and Internet Radio

For years there has been a rumoured Archos phone. Finally we have one, however it’s not quite the phone we had hoped. You’ll leave this one behind most of the time as it’s an Android home phone designed for your landline. That said, Archos might have something here, a market that is fairly empty.

The ARCHOS Smart Home Phone takes a Home DECT phone and enhances it with Android; that same great interface as on a smart phone along with all those excellent smart phone features; caller name, number and photo display, customizable MP3 ringtones, web and emails. And transferring contacts from your Android mobile phone to your ARCHOS Smart Home Phone is simple though the integrated applications.

Thanks to the integrated 720p front webcam you can use your ARCHOS Smart Home Phone for high definition video chatting to stay in touch with family and friends, as well as for baby monitoring and even room surveillance.

Your Android apps at home
The ARCHOS Smart Home Phone gives you access to the thousands of Android apps available. Whether you want to quickly check your email without turning on the PC, find that definition in Wikipedia or play a game whilst waiting for your call, the ARCHOS Smart Home Phone is there for you.

Also winging it’s way out of the live event was the announcement of the Archos 35 Home Connect. An Internet Radio, baby monitor and video conferencing device.

The ARCHOS Home Connect includes two built in high definition speakers in specially designed cases for improved bass. Whether via the ARCHOS multimedia applications or your favourite music streaming apps you’ll never believe the amazing quality of sound coming from such a small device.

Android powered web radio
The web radio evolves with Android thanks to the ARCHOS Home Connect and its 3.5 inch touchscreen. Bringing you over 50 000 web radio stations with the integrated TuneIn application as well as the specially developed ARCHOS Alarm Clock application bringing you weather, traffic and news from the moment you wake up.
