Mophine1

With the new  iPad  hitting UK shelves and portable technology now dominating UK households, mophie releases the sleekest and most stylish charging stand for the Apple tablet  – the powerstand.

For use all around the home, the powerstand (which is compatible with all three of Apple’s iPads) makes it easier than ever before to use your iPad. The powerstand not only enables you to rotate your iPad 180 degrees, but it also simultaneously charges it through mophie technology. In addition the sturdy stand folds down, allowing you to type on the iPad using the Qwerty keyboard, with both hands. It also comes with a USB cable, which lets you sync with iTunes when the powerstand is connected to our computer.

Perfect for budding chefs, the powerstand makes following recipe apps in the kitchen simple, leaving both your hands free for chopping and stirring.  For those that bring their work home with them, using the new iWork app will be a breeze – the robust frame allows you to use the tablet as you would any PC or mac.  And for down time, watching HD movies or gaming becomes easier, simply slot the iPad 3 into the powerstand and watch or play as you would with any TV screen.

The powerstand’s aluminium design is lightweight and durable, so it’s perfect for taking away on holidays or business trips. It is available for £129 at Apple stores nationwide, www.apple.com, www.mophie.com, and www.amazon.com.

Honda_Racing-logo-A9EABEA4C5-seeklogo.com

Samsung Mobile has today been unveiled as the title sponsor for Honda UK’s British Superbike team with a two year deal for 2012 and 2013. This follows the huge success of Samsung’s 2011 BSB season with Crescent Racing and the recent announcement that 2010 British Superstock Champion and 2011 Superbike Riders’ Cup winner Jon Kirkham, who has been a Samsung brand ambassador for almost two years, is to join the rider line-up for the Samsung Honda team for the 2012 season.

The all-new Samsung Honda liveried CBR1000RR Fireblades will mount their charge on the British Superbike and British Superstock Championships in just a few weeks’ time at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend.

The sponsorship gives Samsung access to exclusive content and key moments from Honda Racing’s British Superbike 2012 season to share with Samsung customers across its extensive range of devices, including the Galaxy Note. As title sponsor, Samsung will be entitled to brand integration into Honda’s Racing British Superbike 2012 season, including branding on the bikes and driver leathers; the team’s motor and all team areas such as the pit display and hospitality areas.

Orange favoring Windows Phone for business?

nokialumiabusiness

The guys over at WPCentral have posted the image to the right from the Orange business website. It looks like Orange are suggesting that Windows Phone could be the best mobile operating system for business users.

Now, while I am a fan of Windows Phone, and currently use the HTC Radar as my second device, I have to disagree with Orange on this one. Regular readers and listeners of our podcast will know I am a big BlackBerry fan and maybe I am slightly biased but I can’t see why a Windows Phone would be better than a BlackBerry for business.

Part of the reason I use a BlackBerry is its ease of use and how quickly I can bang out an email/instant message or tweet just to name a few top features. Whether you prefer a hardware keyboard or prefer a touch screen I have not found a single OS that allows me to manage my email/calendar and contacts as efficiently and as easily as on the BlackBerry OS.

I am sure many of you will disagree with me, especially those of you in North America but we all have our own preferences. Feel free to leave your opinions in the Facebook feed or over on our forums.

Rant over!
