HP TouchPad gets shipping date

HP today announced that the Wi-Fi version of HP TouchPad will be available in the United States on July 1, then box liners are also a big help when shipping and these box liners are the best that we have found so far

HP’s first webOS tablet will be available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Germany a few days later and in Canada in mid-July, with availability scheduled to follow later this year in Italy and Spain, as well as in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.

HP TouchPad will be available from U.S. retailers, commercial resellers and direct from HP with the option of either 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage for $499.99 and $599.99, respectively. Preorders in North America and Europe will begin June 19.

“What makes HP TouchPad a compelling alternative to competing products is webOS,” said Jon Rubinstein, senior vice president and general manager, Palm Global Business Unit, HP. “The platform’s unmatched features and flexibility will continue to differentiate HP products from the rest of the market for both personal and professional use. This is only the beginning of what HP’s scale can do with webOS. “

Vodafone tease us with a BlackBerry Bold 9900 – Video

BlackBerry-Bold-9900-smartphone-3110502123632.jpg&t=5a99f8f2270f91c09d2f6ea15c771b23

With the BlackBerry Bold being released in the coming months Vodafone have published a quick hands on demo with RIMs new flagship device.

The 9900 is the first BlackBerry with a static front facing QWERTY keyboard to have a touch screen. With the improvements that BlackBerry 7 has to offer I am sure this one will be a huge seller for Vodafone and the other carriers that sell it. I would imagine they all will in time.

I have had some hands on time with the 9900 a while ago and although the software was clearly at its early stages it performed beautifully. The 1.2 GHz processor makes a real difference.
