Nokia E7 unboxing video

Nokia-E7-300x291 We first saw the Nokia E7 late last year but if the rumours are to be believed there have been ongoing issues with manufacturing which has led to a number of delays. However, the E7 has now been made available for pre-order from a number of retailers with stock expected next week.

I’ve been able to get my hands on a pre-release model to look at and you’ll see me have a quick play with the E7 in the video below.

The Nokia E7 is an elegant Smartphone which incorporates and an innovative design. It is constructed from anodised aluminium for a stunning finish. HTC Incredible S review

Incredible(3)

The HTC Incredible S was the first release of many devices that HTC announced at Mobile World Congress in February. The name ‘Incredible’ is not a new one for HTC as they have had the Incredible on the Verizon network in the USA for some time. So now us folks in Europe get an Incredible but as a newer generation we get an ‘S’ which must have taken HTC a long time to come up with that name!

With a 4 inch capacitive screen the Incredible S sits nicely in the middle between the Desire S with it’s 3.7 inch screen and the Desire HD and Sensation with their massive 4.3 inch screens.

With so many Android devices to choose from is the Incredible S a worthy purchase?  Let’s find out.

BlackBerry and The Foo Fighters

foo-fighter-logo-small

Something a little light hearted for you. I just stumbled on a great little video on YouTube which contains two of my favorite things, BlackBerry and The Foo Fighters. It looks like RIM have been doing a bit of sponsorship with the FF’s which if you ask me makes one cool combination.

Need I say more. See the video below.

New BlackBerry Touch and Bold shown off in promo videos

blackberry logo 2

The leaks just keep on coming for the next batch of BlackBerry Smartphones we can expect to see hopefully this summer. This new collection of leaks comes once again from N4BB and we have promo videos for both the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the BlackBerry Touch 9860.

With BlackBerry World just around the corner in early May it is looking more and more likely that these two new devices along with the Torch 2 will be announced.

I’m pretty excited about all three. If the rumored specs are correct it looks like RIM are catching up with the rest of the industry and using 1.2 GHz processors. That will make one nippy BlackBerry.

You can see both the video promos below.

Twitter for BlackBerry officially updated

T4BB

If you are a BlackBerry user and like to use Twitter, you may want to check out Twitter for BlackBerry if you have not done so before as it now has some rather cool new features.

First up, and in my opinion most important, is the introduction of push mentions and messages. There is nothing more frustrating than waiting for a Twitter app to refresh, so now as soon as someone mentions you the message will be pushed to your BlackBerry. I have been using this feature for some time as a beta zone member and if you use Twitter a lot once you have ‘push’ you can never go back. Try it. It rocks!

Tweet location is another new feature. Once set up within the options of the app you will notice a compass logo sitting next to the camera icon. Here you can choose to add your location to tweets. Viewing someone else’s location – if they have enabled this feature – is really easy too! All you need to do is select the location icon that appears in the bottom right corner of their tweet and a map view will open, allowing you to see where they were when they submitted that Tweet.

The next time you Retweet something, it will appear in your Home timeline as ‘Retweeted by You’, to quickly alert you that your Retweet was sent successfully.

galaxy-s2-gt-i9100_04_2

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., today announces that its slimmest and lightest Smartphone yet, the Samsung Galaxy S II (Model: GT-I9100), will be available in UK shops on 1st May 2011. The Galaxy S II is the first handset to offer Samsung’s Super AMOLED Plus screen technology, the largest, brightest and most colourful screen available in Samsung’s portfolio of devices.

Super slim (8.49mm) and lightweight (116g) Samsung’s Galaxy S II runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and is super-fast thanks to its dual-core 1.2GHz processor. The device’s exceptionally bright screen makes it perfect for watching movies and TV or playing games and looking at apps, with its ground-breaking ‘organic’ LED technology, Super AMOLED Plus also saving energy so you can enjoy watching content without affecting the battery life.

The Galaxy S II is built for multi-tasking, its dual-core processor makes switching between applications and loading web pages such as Google, Yahoo and YouTube quick, whilst superior 3D hardware means games and videos can be loaded and played with ease. What’s more, there’s immediate access to content and services such as catch up TV and movie downloads, thanks to super-fast connectivity and WiFi, with speeds up to 21Mbps which provides increased download speeds, and Bluetooth 3.0+HS which reduces data transfer times significantly.
