Amazon MP3 for BlackBerry

amazon-mp3-blackberry-1

This one is currently only for the USA at the moment i am sad to say.

Millions of us buy music and listen to it on our phones so why not via Amazon. Although I have not had the chance to use the app it does look and sound pretty good. I have downloaded music via Amazon in the past and have found that they offer a great service.

The new app offers the following:

  • Download music via Wi-Fi or over the air (OTA)
  • Browse by what’s new, deals, top songs, top albums, genres, and sub genres
  • Check back every day for the Free Song of the Day and Daily Deal album
  • Preview a 30-second sample before you buy
  • Tell friends about your favorites via BBM, email, SMS, Socials Feeds, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Bookmark a song and come back to it whenever you’re ready for a preview or download.
  • Integrated with BlackBerry smartphone features and functions, including Universal Search and Media Library

Fingers crossed it will arrive here in the UK soon.

Thanks to crackberry for the image.

All you can eat data from Three

Three-logo-web1

Mobile network Three has opened up data on its ground-breaking tariff The One Plan.

From today Three moves away from a world of data allowances, to give The One Plan customers all-you-can-eat data, challenging the limited offers and additional charges other operators levy on smartphone users.

The change is aimed at giving customers peace of mind when it comes to data – so they can surf, email, update, watch, listen or play freely on their smartphone – making the most of all it can do.

This is the second time Three has challenged the UK mobile industry with The One Plan.

John’s Phone review

PRESS_PHOTO_PENThere is a massive battle between platforms at the moment, in case you were not aware. Apple are pushing for elegance, Microsoft for logic, Google for intelligence, RIM for organisation and the rest are attacking whatever is left over for a few sales. There is one target audience that the all the efforts of the above companies cannot ever hope to capture – the uninterested.

HTC HD7 Review

HD7-main The HTC HD7 is the biggest of the brand new Windows Phone 7 phones to hit the market with a monster 4.3" screen. The HD7 is the new and improved version of it’s WInMo 6.5 brother, now made obselte by the HD7. The HD7 is exlusive to O2 and brings specs and features that the HD2 can only dream of – a massive 4.3" SLCD screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording and Microsoft’s latest creation, Windows Phone 7.

But can it reign over it’s Android running HTC Desire HD cousin or can it even compete with the rest of the Windows Phone 7 handsets out there? Check out the review below to find out.

Infinity Blade for iOS – video demo

infinity_blade_dec

Infinity Blade is a new amazing 3D game available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. As you will see in the video below the game centers on your character doing battle with other characters, most of who are rather scary looking.

At £3.49 it is not the cheapest game on the iPhone but once downloaded you can use on the iPad as well for no extra cost. Is it worth the money? I should say so. The graphics and sound are fantastic and I would strongly recommend giving this one a go just for the 3D gaming experience.

Huawei Ideos X5 and Ideos X6 announced

Huawei Ideos X5 X6

With Huawei’s Ideos hitting retailers just a short while ago the manufacturer has announced two new Android devices in the Ideos range, the X5 and X6.

The Huawei Ideos X6 comes with a 4.1-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen of WVGA resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz CPU and packs excellent all round connectivity. Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS and 3G with HSPA up to 14.4Mbps are all supported and there’s also an HDMI port on board.

The 5 megapixel snapper of the Huawei Ideos X6 is capable of recording HD videos. The list of highlights is completed by Dolby mobile surround sound (and we know how good this is from the HTC WP7 devices).

The other new announcement, Huawei Ideos X5 is slightly more compact, coming with a 3.8 display. It also offers HSPA-supporting radios as well as Wi-Fi b/g/n and A-GPS. The Ideos X5 5 megapixel camera is accompanied by a LED flash.

Prices for both these new devices is not available yet but based on previous Huawei handsets I would imagine they will be extreamly good value for money.
